Roses & Kaleidoscope is a visual research series exploring symmetry, rotation, and perceptual distortion through digitally generated black-and-white abstraction. Developed as an extension of Rozita Sophia Fogelman’s ongoing investigation into systems-based image construction, the works transform simple geometric logic into dense optical fields that oscillate between order and disorientation.
Using repetition, mirroring, and radial structure, each composition functions as a perceptual experiment—testing how minimal visual parameters can generate complexity, depth, and motion. Rather than referencing representational imagery, the series emphasizes process, rhythm, and spatial tension, positioning the image as an active system rather than a fixed object.
Situated between digital minimalism and post-material abstraction, Roses & Kaleidoscope reflects an interest in how algorithmic logic and visual constraints shape perception over time. The series operates simultaneously as an aesthetic study and a research artifact, contributing to a broader inquiry into pattern, cognition, and visual systems within contemporary digital practice.
