This project explores the translation of typographic and systems-based visual research into three-dimensional form. Developed in 2015, the 3D R&B Fashion Collection investigates how graphic structure, repetition, and abstraction can operate across body, surface, and spatial orientation.
Rather than treating fashion as trend or ornament, the collection functions as an experimental study in visual systems applied to the human figure. Letterforms, typographic density, and digital pattern logic are mapped onto garment silhouettes, producing figures that operate simultaneously as graphic compositions and spatial bodies.
The work extends my broader research into text-based abstraction and post-material design, testing how flat graphic logic behaves when projected into volume, movement, and physical presence. Color, contrast, and modular repetition serve as structural elements, emphasizing process over decoration and system over style.
This collection situates fashion as a research platform—where typography, computation, and form converge—bridging graphic design, digital art, and embodied spatial systems.
